Gernot | Argentina | Packaging Design
The redesign of the Gernot 2021 label was intended to pay tribute to the legacy of Gernot Langes-Swarovski, founder of Bodega Norton, by capturing his story and sophistication in a visually restrained yet deeply symbolic design.
Inspired by an authentic architectural gateway at the winery, viewed as a private passage into Gernot’s world, we created a black-and-white label that captures a quiet and elegant narrative. The central illustration, screen-printed in ink, frames a solitary tree, while the wine’s name appears in handwritten calligraphy, resembling a personal signature rather than a conventional logo. Every element was thoughtfully designed to evoke luxury, heritage, and emotional depth without excess.
The final design stands out for its minimalist composition and refined materials: textured paper, matte foil stamping, subtle embossing, and an irregular bottom edge that suggests the spontaneity of hand-torn paper. This label embraces simplicity as a symbol of sophistication, crafted for those who appreciate the art of subtlety.
